Appearance: Black haired and blue eyed, Emly is fair skinned and tans only lightly, with a voluptuous look that might be described as "severe" if it weren't for her outgoing personality. Her heavy black hair is cropped at her shoulders, and usually tied back with only a few stray locks escaping to frame her face. Her nicely angled eyebrows draw attemtion to her luminous blue-green eyes. She's of moderate height, standing 5'6", curvy enough to be considered "sexy" provided one of those ultra well endowed Weyr women aren't hanging about. Her prominent cheekbones and large well-shaped lips caused her much teasing and anguish when she was little, and but when she finally grew into her features, it was a true case of the ugly duckling becoming a swan.

Personality: Emly is responsible, friendly, kind and patient, provided you aren't under 14 turns, or act as if you are. Maybe because her most awkward and painful turns were prior to her 15th birthing day--The same day green Zimanth came into her life-- she's convinced that children can be cruel, and it pains her to watch them taunt each other. Because her parents were only together for a night, she doesn't believe in long relationships and has only dallied with men for weeks at a time, which suits most of the young men just fine! But perhaps someone, somewhere can show her that relationships can last, that she and Zimanth needn't be alone for the rest of their turns.....

History: The daughter of a bronze rider and a green rider, Emly grew up in Fort Weyr. Her conception occured as the aftermath of a flight, not of a loving relationship, so she never felt a sense of "family" with her parents. Her mother tried to raise her, but realized that she didn't have the parenting skills necessary when Emly was a misbehaved 4 turn old. Elka, who worked in Fort's Lower Caverns, fostered the young girl-- who was crying and screaming "Why doesn't Mummy want me any more!?" -- and for the first time, discipline and responsibility came into her life. The turn around was dramatic, and Emly blossomed into a biddable Wery brat, the pride of any foster mother, though physically she was so awkward looking she drew the taunts of all the other children her age. This affected her because she wanted acceptance so much, what teen doesn't?? Although her foster mother assured her she would blossom into a "right gorgeous young lady," it was green Zimanth that really made her feel beautiful and worthy of love. The product of two dragonriders, Emly chose to stand as a candidate when she was 15 turns, and though they weren't big figures in her life, both of them were proud when Emly and Zimanth walked off the sands together.

Appearance: Zimanth is large for a Green, though she is still on the light boned side, feminine and elegant. Her color is a uniform bright medium green, and her hide gleams from all the care Emly gives her.

Personality: Zimanth is very protective of Emly, and vice versa. Not once has Emly left any detail of her care unattended. She is flirty only when close to mating, otherwise she's quite sensible and calm. Because she is so protective of Emly, she'll take initiative during fall to get them out of bad situations, and has become a very quick thinker.
